Each night has its own door deal. Skip-the-line and free entry depend on the day. Door cut-off is when the deal expires — arrive earlier on busy nights.
Pro tip
Summer plan (from the first Sónar event): no more free list. Discount list from €10 with a drink on weekdays (€10 until 00:30, €15 until 01:30) and €15 with a drink at weekends until 01:00. From 1 July the drink is dropped on Wednesdays, Sundays and weekends; artist nights are list-without-drink year-round. No skip-the-line — everyone queues, so arrive early.

The vibe
Opium is the largest and best-known beachfront nightclub in Barcelona — open every day of the week, with a young international crowd and a sound that leans commercial, EDM and reggaeton. Located on Passeig Marítim de la Barceloneta right next to Ku Barcelona and Shôko, Opium dominates the city's busiest nightlife strip with a huge main room, an outdoor terrace overlooking the Mediterranean, and a constant rotation of resident and guest DJs.
The crowd skews younger and more touristic than Ku Barcelona or Sutton — it's the most accessible big-club experience in the city.

What to expect
Opium gets going around 01:00 and peaks 02:30–05:00. On the summer plan there's no free list — getting on our discount list saves you money versus the €25–30 door: €10 with a drink before 00:30 on weekdays (then €15 until 01:30), and €15 with a drink at weekends until 01:00. There's no skip-the-line, so everyone queues; arrive early to catch the cheaper weekday rate.
The main room plays commercial, EDM and reggaeton with high-energy production; the terrace overlooks the beach and is the most photographed spot in BCN nightlife. VIP tables are spread across the main room and terrace — beachfront-view tables are the most coveted in summer. Drinks are about €14–16 for a long drink.
