Built for international students

The fastest way to plug into Barcelona's nightlife.

Arriving in Barcelona on Erasmus or as an exchange student is exciting, but the first two weeks are awkward. You don't know anyone, the local nightlife scene is opaque from outside, and Spanish clubs operate on a schedule that confuses most international students — nothing really starts before 01:00, the door deals change every night of the week, and the wrong club on the wrong night means an empty dance floor and a €30 cover for no reason.

The Erasmus Welcome Party is the shortcut. We run a recurring meet-up at Wild Rover Bar in the city center every operating night, starting 22:00 with free drinks and an international group of 30–80 students. By 00:30 the group walks together to the night's curated club — Ku Barcelona on Thursday, Opium on Monday (free entry night), Costa Breve on Thursday for the university Erasmus tradition with €2 drinks, Otto Zutz mid-week, Sutton on Wednesday for the more dressed-up crowd. The host clears the door, the group walks past the line, and you're inside the club within minutes of arriving — no cover charge for the entire group.

The model works because Barcelona's clubs need international energy on the dance floor, and Erasmus students want a structured way in without paying covers every night. Our partnership pre-vets the groups (dress code, age, ratio) so the venues get reliable crowds, and the students get free or heavily discounted nights out. Beyond the free weekly event, we run a Skip-Line Pass (€10–15, one drink included, individual access to most partner clubs without waiting), and Group VIP tables for student societies, exchange cohorts and birthday groups — typically €30–50 per person for the table, drinks and skip entry combined. Most Erasmus students rotate between the free welcome event for mixed nights and a Group VIP for special occasions.

Why we work for Erasmus

Three reasons international students stick with us.

01

Free entry, every night

Erasmus tier saves you the €15–30 cover every single night you go out. Over a semester, that's hundreds of euros back in your pocket.

02

Built for new arrivals

Most events are solo-friendly. The welcome party at Wild Rover Bar is the entry point — you arrive alone, you leave with a group.

03

International by default

Erasmus, exchange students, expats and travelers from every European country. The vibe is English-speaking, mixed-gender, 18-25 majority.

Erasmus Welcome Party — FAQ

Is the Erasmus welcome party really free?
Yes — fully free. No cover, no booking fee, no hidden charges. We provide free meeting drinks at Wild Rover Bar starting 22:00, then escort the group to the night's curated club with free guest list entry. The event is funded by our partnership with Barcelona's top clubs — we deliver pre-vetted international groups, they offer free entry.
Where and when do we meet?
Wild Rover Bar (city center, near Plaça Universitat) at 22:00. The PartyKazu BCN team is wearing branded t-shirts at the entrance. The pre-game runs 22:00–00:30 with free shots, group icebreaker games, music and photos. Around 00:30 we walk together as a group to the curated club for the night.
Which night is the welcome event?
We run multiple nights per week — the strongest are Thursday (Ku Barcelona, Otto Zutz, Costa Breve) and Friday (Opium, Shôko). Monday is the Free Entry Monday at Opium. Tuesday is Ladies Night at Opium. We confirm the exact night based on your dates and group size when you sign up.
Do I need to be Erasmus to join?
No. Erasmus students are the core, but the event is open to all international travelers, expats, exchange students from outside the Erasmus program, and locals over 18. The vibe is international and welcoming — the only filter is age (18+ with valid ID) and dress code.
What's the dress code?
Smart casual minimum. Clean stylish sneakers are fine. The strictest no: flip-flops, beach shorts, sportswear, football jerseys, tank tops on men. Sutton and Ku Barcelona are stricter — closed shoes, shirt or smart top required. Opium and Otto Zutz are more relaxed.
Can I bring friends?
Yes — group bookings are welcome and encouraged. Submit your friends' names when signing up so we add them to the same guest list. Mixed-gender groups are ideal. Pure male groups of 6+ should book a Group VIP table for guaranteed entry — door scrutiny on pure stag groups is stricter at premium clubs.
What's the cost beyond entry?
Drinks inside the club run €8–14 (long drinks, beer is cheaper at €6–8). Erasmus tier doesn't include drinks — you pay your own bar tab. Average Erasmus night out budget: €30–60 including pre-game, drinks at the club, transport home. With Skip-Line Pass, one welcome drink at the bar is included.
What about transport home?
Barcelona Metro runs late on weekends (until 02:00 Fri, until 05:00 Sat morning). Night buses cover the rest. Cabify and FreeNow apps work well — group taxi to your accommodation is usually €8–15 split across the group. Most Erasmus students share rides home.
Is the Erasmus event safe?
Yes. The pre-game starts at a public bar with our staff present. The walk to the club is supervised by the host. All recommended clubs have professional security and we work only with reputable partner venues. Safety tips: keep your ID and card in front pockets, share live location with a friend, agree on a meeting point if separated.
How far in advance do I sign up?
Same-day sign-up is usually possible until 20:00. For peak weekends (start of semester, Halloween, Spring Break) we recommend 24–48h ahead. Group bookings (8+) are best confirmed 3–5 days ahead so we can secure the right table or expanded guest list.
